Backpack Pals – Lee County

The BCA Foundation is focused on supporting the local community. A very worthy cause was recently the recipient of a generous gift. A cash donation was made to BACKPACK PALS of Sanford. Twenty-two schools participate in this program. All the labor needed to create these meals is donated by volunteers and is operated through the Christians United Outreach Center.

This organization provides backpacks containing food, every weekend, to at-risk students. Over five hundred children participate in this weekly program. These students are also eligible to receive free or reduced meal plans at school during the week.

Helping those in need is one way the BCA Foundation will continue to help the community.
