On Friday, 6/23/23, Lee County Wildlife Club hosted its annual Friends of the NRA banquet. This was a fundraising event that benefits activities such as the Youth Hunters Safety Program.

Attendees were welcomed with a southern favorite meal of pulled pork barbecue. They were then encouraged to inspect all the shooting related products to be auctioned or used in drawings and games. These were donated by companies including Bear Creek Arsenal who was also a major sponsor of the event. There was a wide array of prizes including custom guns and knives, tactical gear, optics, clothing, and services such as cerakoting.

While not everyone was a winner, there were no losers. Protecting our Second Amendment rights is a never-ending quest. Fundraisers like the Friends of the NRA banquet are an important part of ensuring shooting sports will be available to future generations.
